“ I’ve tried Jimmy’s Satti in Zamboanga twice recently on separate occasions — and have also been here a few years back. The chicken barbecue is still as juicy and flavorful as I remember, and the grilled chicken liver remains a highlight — tender and packed with taste. That said, the satti sauce seems inconsistent now compared to before. Sometimes it hits, sometimes it falls flat. It could definitely use more balance in flavor and texture. Also, during our visit, there was a blackout and no backup power, which made dining a bit difficult. Still, it’s a Zamboanga staple worth trying — especially for grilled meat lovers. Hoping they bring back the consistency that made them a local favorite. ”

The servings are incredibly generous, and the Satti is cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and perfectly complemented by the rich, spicy sauce. You can really taste the authenticity in every bite. The place is well-known, and I even heard that Erwan Huesaff himself visited here! “ I love Jimmy's Satti Haus' Filipino-style satti sauce. A smoky, sweet, and lightly spiced version from sambal paste that they generously drench all over your choice of protein and diced Tamo or Pusô (steamed rice wrapped in palm leaf strips). Their protein varies from chicken barbecue, chicken liver, and beef. I got to try their best seller, Atay, for brunch. The pungent taste of barbequed liver blends well with the sauce and Tamo. If they could just only lower the price a bit, it'd be perfect. ”

“ If you want an authentic satti experience, visit Jimmy's. The place is your typical eatery with satti as the highlight. It can get a bit crowded especially in the morning but very typical as satti is usually best eaten during breakfast. The place is located in the heart of the city so it is not a difficult stopover after a good morning run along Paseo or RT Lim Blvd or after your visit to Fort Pilar. ”

“ Great place for satti. We went in the morning and it wasn’t too busy, was easy to get a place to sit. The sauce is to die for, spicy and thick, super flavourful, perfect with the meat and puso. “ I got here at 7am and people are already flocking this spot! I was intrigued by the Satti because I see it everywhere and I found out it was a local dishes in town. So, naturally I tried it. I have ordered beef w/ tamo & extra bbq chicken wing for my bfast. I’d say, it was tasty and the sauce has a little spicy kick. ”

“ I am not fond of food with overflowing sauces. The sauce tastes like curry mixed with your usual street food dip. The beef was hard for my liking, but it was worth a try. They can do better on sanitation. The staff are welcoming. ”
